U-CUP WITH EXPANDER               

A 2-piece seal consisting of a fabric U-ring in conjunction with a support ring header. The primary purpose of the support ring is to keep the sealing ring forced apart during periods of slack pressure.

V PACKING & SPRING LOADED

Packing is supplied in sets composed of a series of V-shaped (Intermediate) rings complete with header and gland rings. Header (Male) and Gland Ring (Female) sets will be supplied with multiple V-Rings, depending on pressure and needed set height.

Spring-loaded sets manufactured in same construction. Springs are added to the header ring to provide additional compression when packing starts to wear or for applications with non adjustable housings.

FLOATING V-PACK (lowest leakage rate)

Floating V-Pack consists of a standard NBR/Fabric gland ring,  a number of fabric intermediate "V" rings, and a synthetic (abrasion resistant) rubber header which is a positive seal. The rubber ring is precision molded, and the sealing edge is knife cut to give maximum integrity, along with an angular groove to increase response to applied pressure.

This packing is supplied to float inside the stuffing box. No need to worry if packing is under or over compressed. Just supply SST with housing dimensions and we will manufacture product for ready installation. Floating V-Pack is rated for O degrees 5000 PSI up to 250 degrees. Floating V-Pack is suited for hard to seal or worn out applications.

Packing and seals are available in all cross sections up to 70" in diameter
